20 October 2015 – Combating the nasty things people say and do online, the British government intends to step up filtering of the Internet in order to combat the messages of extremists, from ISIL to the right-wing Stormfront. It also wants to form “a group that brings industry, government and the public together to agree ways to limit access to terrorist and extremist content online without compromising the principle of an open Internet.”
